Thank you – I’m ok (Monday)
First of all, massive thank you for your kind messages and support to myself and my family.
So, as Ilke states, it was a good procedure today and the consultant was very pleased with results and my progress so far.
I’m very drowsy, keep dozing off (Update: took me over and hour to write this) but I have no pain. I have an epidural before surgery that has painkiller that last 24-36 hours, so we will see.
I’m very wired up though in ICU. Monitors on everything; drains out of chest and stomach etc. I have had a stream of doctors coming to talk to me. In the room I’m in there are two other patients I think. I have a dedicated male nurse assigned to me for overnight.
Tomorrow they keep telling me it’s going to be full on. Walking etc and doing exercises. So, until then – thank you.
