Day 10 (Wednesday)
I had a reasonably good rest overnight. Woken up at 6am for blood tests. My surgeon came and saw me at 8.30 and said he was pleased with the blood test, going in the right direction. He also looked at my oxygen saturation and decided to try me a day without being dependent on supplementary oxygen.
He has requested the ward staff to move me back to Nuffield Hospital today, and then said that if my oxygen levels are within acceptable parameters and I can continue to digest with puree food, I can go home tomorrow (Thursday)!.
I have written a page on this site that goes in to detail about my post operation and what is going to happen with my new lifestyle.

Amazing recovery so far PJ!. So glad to hear that things are progressing in the right direction. Hopefully you will be back at home soon. Im sure being out of the hospital will do wonders for your recovery. Let us know when we are all invited for a PJ puree party!
